New Public Canton Data Studio

- Noves has launched a new public Canton data studio:
ccdata.noves.fi
This was built to give Canton operators a more in-depth view of the network, parties, and asset flows.
Standout features:
- Featured app economics: rewards, earnings, traffic costs, compliance
- Compliance dashboard: transparent calculations, including for asset issuers
- Party-level analytics: asset flows, activity, and counterparties
For validators, issuers, infrastructure providers, featured apps, and institutions operating on Canton, it gives a clear view into network activity and operating conditions.
Live now: ccdata.noves.fi This is a fantastic contribution to the Canton ecosystem. Thank you for building it. The UX is really nice, and the way the data is presented makes it easy to navigate. It's clear a lot of thought went into the design.
A few questions as I've been exploring it:
- On the parties page, there's a balance field I'd love to understand better. Could you clarify what that's measuring?
- On the featured app compliance metrics, I wasn't sure whether the figures reflect a specific time window or cumulative since inception. And I wasn't familiar with the term "over guidance." A brief definition there would be helpful to help explain the red numbers on the far right.
Would you be open to setting up a short video call with potential users to walk through the dashboard together? I would love a tutorial and so might some others. That would give us a chance to ask questions directly and to screen share.

This is a really valuable contribution to the Canton ecosystem. Thank you to the Noves team for making a public data studio available for operators, issuers, featured apps, and institutions.
I unfortunately became aware of this tool a bit late. I first heard about Noves from Anthony Merriman during our recent discussions around traffic measurement and Featured App economics. Our own Featured App status is currently under review, partly because we initially monitored traffic in the wrong way and did not have a clear enough view of the economics around traffic costs and marker weight.
If we had known about this dashboard earlier, we would have been very happy to use it during our testing and monitoring process.
I am sure this will become even more useful as you continue improving it. Tools like this make it much easier for teams building on Canton to understand the network correctly and operate more responsibly.

Murat - Hi Janine!Thank you so much for your questions and comments.A) The balance field is computed off the active Amulet contracts (aka Canton Coin UTXOs) for a given party. So it's essentially the current onchain balance of CC.B) The compliance ratios are calculated over rolling periods, currently you can see the value for the last 24 / 48 hours, or 7 / 14 days. The exact formula and values that led to the ratio are visible when you mouse over the ratio field. There are two formulas, depending on whether the app has Asset Issuer status or not.In all cases, the formulas are based on the official guidance provided by Tokenomics:Best,Juan

A quick note on the compliance metrics and "over guidance" - those are based on the Tokenomics Committee guidance. We’ve also included definitions and calculation logic throughout the studio via hover states on values, table headers, and related fields, though your feedback is helpful and we may need to make some of that more obvious.
We are not planning a webinar right now, but we'd be very happy to jump on a short call with anyone who wants to walk through the data studio, ask questions, or better understand how to use the data in context.
