We want to be open with you about where CC Bot stands.
Since January, our team has spent five months building CC Bot, a non-custodial Canton wallet that lives entirely inside Telegram. There is no separate app to download and no browser extension to install. The idea was simple. We wanted to bring Canton to where the users already are, inside the chat app they open every day. Telegram has close to a billion people and one of the most crypto-fluent audiences anywhere.
We didn't rush into the Featured App process. We wanted the product ready first, and to do this with the care it deserved, so we held off until CC Bot was something we'd be proud to put in front of you.
What CC Bot is today:
The entire wallet runs inside Telegram with zero install, so no app download or extension is needed. It is built for user experience first, with onboarding in seconds, designed to feel familiar to anyone who can use a chat app. It is fully non-custodial, using a 2 of 3 Shamir Secret Sharing setup (biometrics, a server-encrypted share, and cloud recovery), so users keep full control of their keys. It is live on Canton MainNet and runs on our own validator infrastructure. It supports CC transfers and USDCx bridging between Ethereum and Canton. There is a live website, full documentation, and a product that is built and ready for launch.
From the day we announced and opened the waitlist, we received 180,000 signups, and our community grew quickly. But as a small team of young builders, we'll be honest with you. We haven't been able to find the investment or support to keep going alone, and we can't meet the CIP-0116 financial requirements on our own.
So we've made a hard decision. We are open to a partnership or co-building with someone who wants to grow this inside Canton, to investment that carries it forward, or, as a last resort, to transferring ownership of CC Bot to the right hands.
