Interstice Digital Cross-Chain Swap Engine is live on Canton
Hi everyone, wanted to share that Interstice Digital has launched the Cross-Chain Swap Engine connecting Canton and Ethereum. We're a Featured App on the network and would love feedback from the community here.
What it does
The Swap Engine moves assets between Canton and Ethereum with KYB/KYC and AML screening applied to both sender and receiver before settlement executes. We built this specifically for institutions and compliance-minded organizations that need cross-chain liquidity but can't work with infrastructure that doesn't meet their regulatory requirements.
How it works
A few things worth flagging for anyone evaluating this technically:
- Settlement is atomic via HTLCs, so a transaction either completes in full or doesn't execute at all
- The engine is non-custodial. Interstice Digital never takes possession of client assets during the swap
- Screening happens pre-settlement, so compliance checks are baked into the flow rather than bolted on after the fact
- Built to work with Canton's privacy model. Transaction intent stays shielded from counterparties while the audit trail remains complete and immutable
Why we built it here
We're at the early stage of this launch and genuinely want input from people building here, whether that's on the mechanics of the HTLC implementation, edge cases in the screening flow, or how this fits into broader Canton liquidity plans.
