How does an app get Featured App status on Canton Network?
Featured App status is granted by a vote of the Canton Super Validators, not by an application form. Since 2024-06-29 there have been 261 grant requests, of which 241 were accepted and 15 rejected. A further 134 requests sought to withdraw the right, and 121 of those succeeded.

What this record does not contain
The ledger holds the decision, not the deliberation that preceded it. A request appears when it is put to a vote, so any assessment done beforehand, and any application that was never proposed, leaves no trace here.
A revocation names the contract id of the right being withdrawn rather than the provider, so the revoked app is not always readable from the record alone.
