TreasurySpring’s plan to bring its Fixed Term Funds to Canton has moved into a formal governance vote. CIP-0122 asks Super Validator operators to admit TreasurySpring Management (Jersey) Limited as a Super Validator applicant. The vote opened on September 4 . When checked shortly after midnight KST on September 5, Tradeweb, Digital Asset, Five North and MPCH had each voted in favour. No opposition or final result had been posted, and the CIP remained marked Proposed. TreasurySpring helps institutions place cash in short-term investments and is regulated in Jersey. Each Fixed Term Fund, or FTF, holds one investment and matures on a set date. The proposal covers government bills and bonds, supranational debt and reverse repo transactions with investment banks. The proposal lists more than 1,000 onboarded clients, over 550 live FTFs and more than 120 counterparties. The funds run from one day to one year and are mostly issued in US dollars, euros and sterling. Approval would establish a staged milestone schedule. TreasurySpring would first place at least $10 million of its own-balance-sheet FTFs on Canton within three months. The proposed targets then rise to $1 billion by month eight, $2 billion by month nine, $3 billion by month 10.5 and $4 billion by month 12. Each level would need to stay above its target for at least one month. Later stages focus on how clients could use the funds. They include an external client holding at least $1 million through a third-party wallet, a transfer between approved external wallets, a secondary-market trade, use of an FTF as collateral and a purchase funded with onchain cash. For funds registered on Canton, the proposal envisages the network record becoming the main legal record of ownership. TreasurySpring would earn its Super Validator rewards in stages, with an extra bonus available for reaching the first external-wallet milestone early. Each stage would need supporting evidence and further approval before the related rewards could begin. TreasurySpring has already outlined earlier work with Canton , including its participation in live proof-of-concept repo and reverse repo trades using its own node.
