Hello! A new comer in the DAML world!

This is KC Tam, a never stop learner and having spent some time in blockchain platforms like Fabric and Ethereum. The approach DAML handles digital asset interests me recently. And happy to learn more from all of you.

Hey @kctam. I read your article on DAML yesterday and greatly enjoyed it. Do you have any insights/feedback from your research that you could share? Anything we could change in our docs or SDK that would have made your experience better?

Thanks. I follow most of my study in this and DAML provides a very good documentation and tutorial sets. Currently I’m more exploring the language itself, and later will touch on more about how it lands in various platforms, in particular, I’m more interested in the value of other DLT platforms contributing to DAML. Currently I have my own opinion but will explore more once I get there.

The Daml community is at this point communicating mainly in English, and, to the best of my knowledge, the documentation is available in English only.

Bienvenue dans la communauté Daml. Avant toute chose, deux petites remarques:

• C’est toujours plus simple si vous ouvrez un nouveau sujet pour commencer une nouvelle discussion, plutôt que d’ajouter à une discussion déjà terminée (depuis presque un an dans ce cas), surtout si c’est pour changer de langue au passage.
• Le forum est en anglais. Il n’y a que très peu de gens ici qui comprennent le français, donc dans la mesure du possible si vous pouviez poser vos questions en anglais ça permettrait à un plus grand nombre de personnes de vous aider, et éventuellement de trouver la solution s’ils rencontrent un jour le même problème.

Quand vous ouvrez votre nouveau sujet, merci de préciser:

• La version de Daml que vous essayez d’installer.
• La version de Linux que vous utilisez (nom de la distribution + numéro de version si applicable).
• Ce que vous avez essayé, le résultat que vous attendiez et ce qui vous fait penser que ça n’a pas marché. Par exemple, sous Linux, la manière recommandée d’installer Daml est curl -sSL https://get.daml.com/ | sh. Si vous avez essayé d’utiliser cette commande, merci de partager le résultat affiché par le terminal. Si vous avez essayé d’installer Daml d’une autre manière, merci de décrire cette dernière ainsi que le résultat obtenu.
