Daml navigator not launching
I can’t seem to connect to DAML Navigator in my browser. I read K.C’s latest article and I also read the DAML documentation that suggests it runs on port: 7500 but there isn’t anything there. In K.Cs article I can see a message in the terminal that says which port the frontend is running on, but there’s no such text in my terminal window. There is a different port mentioned for where the ledger is running but when connecting to that, it gives me a 404.
Here’s a readout from my terminal everytime I try to connect to the localhost on the port:

Any ideas? I do have the latest version of DAML installed I believe. I ran “DAML install latest” and my java settings should be correct now as I was able to play with the test app when I first started using DAML, so I’m not sure why it’s not launching?
The error arises if you try to connect to the JSON API instead of Navigator which runs on port 7575 by default.
As for why Navigator is not starting up, do you maybe have the following in your daml.yaml?
start-navigator: false
If so, simply remove that line and run daml start again.
Aha! That was it!
Thank you a million.
