Where to start with Canton Coin?

I would like to explore the Canton Coin, but I am unsure where and how to start exactly…
I went over the whitepaper about the Canton coin native payment application, but I am still confused about where I can start exploring (some examples with DAML code would be great).
Can you please provide me with some references about this?

As a developer, I found the related Daml code interesting. (Canton Coin is an implementation of Amulet.)
