CIP-0104 MainNet Go-Live Update

Traffic-Based App Rewards under CIP-0104 will not go live on MainNet on August 18.

The original on-chain proposal combined two actions: enabling the supporting Daml models and activating Traffic-Based App Rewards. That proposal was not approved.

Instead, on August 18, the supporting Daml models will be enabled on MainNet, and the Featured App weight voting interface will become available to Super Validators. This will allow the Super Validators to propose and vote on Featured App weights, but it will not activate Traffic-Based App Rewards.

The Tokenomics Working Group and the Super Validators are continuing to review the appropriate Featured App weights and the timing for CIP-0104 to go live. This additional time will allow governance participants to evaluate the effects across different application models before the new reward system is activated.

No revised go-live date has been finalized. The Foundation will announce the Featured App weight decisions and the new CIP-0104 activation date once those discussions and the required governance actions are complete.
