Canton dAppBooster is live
dAppBooster for Canton is live.
An open-source, full-stack starter for building a dApp UI on top of a Daml package. You get a one-command local Canton environment, wagmi-style React hooks and components for wallet connection and signing, and an example dApp to fork instead of a blank page.
It’s built on Canton’s dApp SDK, so your dApp hands signing and execution to the user’s wallet, and any CIP-0103 compliant wallet works with no wallet-specific code. The local stack runs Wallet Gateway by default.
The Canton Development Fund supported this work.
Highlights
-
canton-barebones: starts a local Canton environment with one command (Splice localnet, DAR deploy, health checks). It ships as a dpm component.
-
canton-connect: wraps Canton’s official dApp SDK in wagmi-style React hooks and a context provider (connect, accounts, transactions, message signing, ledger queries).
-
canton-dappbooster: a dapp starter template featuring reusable UI components: connect button, party input, explorer link, token input and select.
-
Reference dApp: a Canton Coin vesting example dApp that signs through any CIP-0103 wallet, live at demo.dappbooster.cc.
-
A wallet-less dApp demo on the same stack, live at canton-dappbooster-walletless.vercel.app.
-
Docs and a narrative getting-started tutorial.
-
Agentic-ready docs (per-repo CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md) so you can build your app with an AI assistant.
