    We believe Pontoro qualifies to operate a validator in the Canton Network because we are building and deploying a specialized financial application, the Automated Liquidity Pool (ALP), designed to unlock liquidity in private markets through permissioned smart contracts and tokenized fund interests. Operating our own validator is critical for the following reasons: Sensitive Financial Operations: As the ALP will manage real-world assets and investor flows. Custom Integration Requirements: The ALP will integrate with fund administrators, custodians, and KYC providers. These components need to interact with the validator in a tightly coupled and auditable way. Data Confidentiality & Trust: Operating our own node allows us to meet regulatory expectations around data handling and internal risk governance. Contributing to Ecosystem Growth: We believe our validator can help strengthen the network by onboarding high-quality institutional assets, providing real-time liquidity signals across ALPs, and serving as a reference use case for other asset managers exploring tokenization.
