The following (23) Validator Applications have passed:

    Name of Applying Institution: Pairpoint
URL to website of Applying Institution: https://pairpoint.io/
    Short description of Applying Institution:
Pairpoint is a joint venture between Vodafone PLC and Sumitomo Corporation to build enablers to securely connect and enable trusted transactions across IoT devices and infrastructure using Web3 automation and AI intelligence and enable this across telecoms operators globally. The Pairpoint platform Digital Asset Broker (DAB) is linked to an ecosystem of over 200 million connected IoT devices including over 45 million connected vehicles and a leader in connected IoT security and payments.
    Why self-operate:
We have over 5 years’ experience running validator nodes and have dedicated operations team and cloud infrastructure. We have experience due to our Vodafone parent of operating and supporting critical infrastructure at scale in line with the highest levels of security. We have applied this to our node validation operations and think this would be an asset to Canton, demonstrating further how other telecoms could leverage these assets and experience in the future. Our parent companies Vodafone PLC and Sumitomo Corporation are global companies, and we would like to operate our own Validator node so that we can put in place the processes to ensure secure operations in line with KPIs and protect the reputation of our parent companies.
How did you hear about us?: We heard about Canton from LF Decentralized Trust and the Linux Foundation of which we are already members.
Country of Incorporation: UK (Parent companies: Vodafone PLC incorporated in UK, Sumitomo incorporated in Japan)

privacy ecosystem, developed to offer borderless browsing and privacy based networking to users. This is through our flagship products MASQ browser and MASQ dVPN extension, built on top of a decentralized peer networking software (MASQNode).
    Why self-operate:
Our underlying ethos is built on providing privacy in the blockchain space – we have unique experience with running Nodes (from developing our own software and networking layer) as well as have a robust network of infrastructure providers to which we have strong relationships with. We were looking to use one of the existing operators (Yiannis was a key contact here), but discovered they are at capacity. We are confident to operate under a sponsor or run a Validator solo, as overall very eager to contribute to the Canton Network ecosystem and support a innovative privacy blockchain ecosystem, which aligns strongly with what our entire ecosystem at MASQ is based on.
