MAJOR UPGRADE WITH DOWNTIME ON TESTNET WEDNESDAY, 26 NOVEMBERRemember to prepare for the major upgrade with downtime on TestNet coming on Wednesday, 26 November at 9 am US Eastern (UTC -5)Important points to keep in mind:
    • Read the docs
    • The upgrade path for Validator nodes is Splice 0.4.23 -> Splice 0.5.1 .  Splice 0.4.25 -> 0.5.1 is also acceptable.
    • You should perform a final backup of your node after the Super Validators announce (in this channel) that the existing synchronizer has paused, and before the new synchronizer starts up.
    • Synchronizer pause will start at 9 am US Eastern (UTC -5)
    • The time between the pause of the existing synchronizer and the start of the new synchronizer is expected take between 90 minutes and two hours. (Please note that the MainNet upgrade on December 10th is expected to take longer -- about four to five hours)
    • During the synchronizer pause, no rewards will be issued, and no minting rounds will advance.
    • The Super Validators will announce when the new synchronizer is live.
    • If you want to minimize rewards you might miss, you'll want to upgrade as soon as possible after the new synchronizer starts up / goes live.
    • Traffic balances will restart at zero. Any traffic balance held before the major upgrade will be lost.  Make sure you're configured to minimize traffic loss
    • Ledger API transaction history is not preserved in the current approach to major upgrades on Canton. The participant component in your Validator node will start with an empty history after the upgrade. The Scan history generated by the Super Validators is unaffected and will retain all information from before the upgrade. For more details please see: https://docs.dev.sync.global/validator_operator/validator_major_upgrades.html#implications-for-apps-and-integrations
    • TestNet Migration ID will change as part of this upgrade. The Super Validators will announce the new Migration ID once TestNet comes back online. The default Migration_ID value for TestNet will be 1, unless announced otherwise by the Super Validators.
    • After the upgrade, the Super Validators will leave the prior, paused version of the TestNet synchronizer in place for ten days, to allow Validator nodes to catch up, take backups and perform the upgrade.
