UPCOMING FORKING CHANGE IN CANTON COIN DAML MODELS

   Reminder that Splice Daml model changes can block Validators from processing rewards and/or Canton Coin transfers under certain conditions if those Validators are not on the most recent version. You should always update your Validator node with each upgrade, and if for any reason you can't, you should review the schedule to see when Daml model changes will become effective, and upgrade in time to keep up with them.
   
   AN IMPORTANT EVENT IS UPCOMING for the Daml models introduced by Splice 0.5.7 (actually adopted in 0.5.8 due to bugs in 0.5.7). These models allow the Super Validators to define a party with the right to allocate reward coupons to grant recipients of the Canton development fund.
   
   Once the value of this "fund administrator party" changes from null to an actual value, all validators that have not upgraded to Splice 0.5.8 will no longer process any Canton Coin transactions, including rewards. Please make sure your nodes are up to date! 
   
   This change will likely take place within the first few days of March; final date to be confirmed.
