    Our competencies include .NET, C#, MERN Stack, distributed systems, cloud and local server infrastructure. We're currently building an in house product, and as we look at extending it with a payment layer, Canton is the network we'd go with. The sub transaction privacy, the permissioned architecture, and the institutional grade settlement finality are exactly what that kind of feature needs. Running our own validator node gives us the hands on access to build and evaluate that the right way.

    Arkena is building a core application layer on the Canton Network, combining NFT infrastructure, DeFi functionality, and wallet services into a unified digital asset platform. Given the nature of our product, operating our own validator is a strategic decision rather than an operational preference. We require direct control over infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and alignment with our application’s architecture. Running our own validator allows us to ensure consistent uptime and performance for our users, maintain tighter integration between our application and network layer, and manage security, data flow, and infrastructure according to our standards. While third-party operators provide convenience, our preference is to operate independently to retain full control over system behavior, scaling decisions, and long-term infrastructure strategy. We are committed to being an active, reliable, and long-term infrastructure participant within the Canton ecosystem.

    Expected Contributions to the Network:
    Arkena is designed not only as an application, but as a gateway that can onboard users, developers, and liquidity into the Canton ecosystem. Our primary contribution will be through building a full-stack digital asset platform that combines NFT infrastructure, DeFi functionality, and wallet services. In addition, we plan to contribute by onboarding new users, attracting developers and projects, expanding liquidity and activity, and supporting ecosystem growth through new initiatives, integrations, and potential partnerships. Our long-term vision is for Arkena to evolve into a central hub within the Canton ecosystem, driving both user adoption and developer activity.

    How did you hear about Canton / the validator program?
    We first heard about the project through the Turkish community around September 2025, when it started gaining significant attention. We followed your Twitter and Discord accounts and spent a considerable amount of time in the Discord server to better understand the project and the network. During this period, we researched the overall architecture, core principles, and the vision of the team. We actively participated in community discussions on Discord and joined X Spaces hosted by Yuval, where he engaged directly with the community. Additionally, We explored the projects within the Canton Network, experiencing almost all of them as a user and continuing to do so. On December 13, 2025, We attended the Canton event in Istanbul. We had the opportunity to listen to a message from Yuval and engage in a live discussion with Melvis. It was a very productive and insightful event together with the Turkish community.

Many of our clients are already asking about tokenized assets and on-chain settlement, and we are positioned to direct that institutional demand toward the network. We can also offer validator infrastructure as a service for financial institutions, publish institutional-grade research on Canton Network for our clients, and work closely with the broader Canton team to bring mainstream finance on chain.

    How did you hear about Canton / the validator program?
    Bitwise has been closely tracking the Canton Network's development as part of our ongoing coverage of institutional blockchain infrastructure. Some of our existing clients and counterparties are looking at Canton, and Canton came up repeatedly in conversations around tokenized assets on-chain. The Bitwise cofounders also had different discussions about Canton with Yuval and Eric. The scope and strategy of Canton is a natural fit for a company like Bitwise.

    We first became aware of the Canton Network through CryptoMeii, the founder of the Canton Network Turkey community and the CC Bot Wallet project. Through these connections, we had the opportunity to learn more about the network and its ecosystem. We also attended the Canton community meetup held in Istanbul a few months ago, which provided valuable insights into the technology, vision, and growing developer community around Canton.

We intend to run our own validators because Turkish financial market regulations impose strict requirements on where interbank settlement data is processed, which would rule out third-party operators we cannot audit. We also require direct operational control for intraday margin call automation, validator-level circuit breakers, and a validator topology that can grow to mirror our participant governance structure over time.

    Expected Contributions to the Network:
    As Nexum OS reaches production, we plan to introduce Canton to several Turkish banks and financial infrastructure providers, position them as potential node operators and application developers within the ecosystem, and leverage the Visa Innovation Programme to expose additional fintechs and financial institutions to Canton. Longer term, we see Nexum OS as a reference implementation for tokenized money market instruments and deposit token settlement in regulated markets.

We prefer operating our own validator because our application directly depends on Canton transaction processing.     We are building on top of existing Canton ecosystem infrastructure rather than reinventing it. Its research team has published multiple academic papers and filed more than ten national invention patents.     We believe we are fully capable of operating validator nodes on the Canton Network based on strong technical capabilities in blockchain infrastructure and distributed systems, including systems based on Hyperledger Fabric, and successful deployment of validator nodes on the Canton Dev Network. We prefer to operate our own validator nodes rather than rely on external operators because data security and control are critical to our applications.
