    Hi all,

I’m reaching out to share two Canton Development Fund proposals and to ask for SIG feedback and potential Tech & Ops champion support.

Both projects are already public and usable today. The proposals are focused on hardening, expanding, documenting, and maturing them as shared public infrastructure for the Canton ecosystem.

    1. canton-typescript-sdk
    SIG: daml-tooling
    Proposal: https://github.com/distrohelena/canton-dev-fund/blob/187408c8d04c16ef8489d76dfaf85516b059ae73/proposals/2026-07-Helena-canton-typescript-sdk.md
    GitHub: https://github.com/distrohelena/canton-typescript-sdk
    npm: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@distrohelena/canton-typescript-sdk

    Summary:
canton-typescript-sdk is an open-source TypeScript SDK for Canton covering both application-facing and administrative workflows. It already includes a shared client across Ledger, Ledger Admin, and Participant Admin surfaces, grpc/json transports, external signing support, and DAML artifact tooling including a DAML-LF parser, semantic model, interface generator, and interpreter scaffold. The proposal is to expand coverage, improve stability and test coverage, strengthen documentation, and mature it as public ecosystem infrastructure.

    2. canton-explorer
    SIG: canton-apis
    Proposal: https://github.com/distrohelena/canton-dev-fund/blob/1e5e87f5a2f79df6926d61ecece6cbaddbf1223b/proposals/2026-07-Helena-canton-explorer.md
    GitHub: https://github.com/distrohelena/canton-explorer
    Demo: https://canton.sweetsquare.io

    Summary:
canton-explorer is a public explorer and operational console for Canton. It helps developers inspect ledger and network behavior without heavy ad hoc debugging, and helps operators work with real network activity and internal tokens beyond Canton Coin. The proposal is to harden and expand it as a reusable public tool for inspection, debugging, and operations.

    My ask:
    - feedback from the relevant SIG members on scope and fit
    - guidance on the most appropriate Tech & Ops Committee champion organization
    - if there is interest, support from a committee-member organization willing to champion either proposal

Thank you for any feedback or connections.

    Best,
    Helena Assis
