Roil Development Fund Proposal – Request for Feedback and Champion
Hello,
Following the guidance to share the proposal with the grants-discuss mailing list, we have now submitted Roil's Development Fund proposal through the Canton Development Fund GitHub repository:

The proposal requests 800,000 CC over 16 weeks to develop an open-source, reusable Canton-native liquidity primitive and validate it through a Roil reference implementation.
The proposed work includes:
- Canton-native liquidity core and reserve accounting
- Asset integration and liquidity provision flows
- Quote calculation, swap execution and settlement
- Authorization and validation workflows
- Concurrent transaction and contention testing
- Canton network validation
- Roil reference integration
- Automated tests and technical documentation
- Independent security review, remediation and final open-source release
The proposal has been submitted under the DeFi Protocols & Liquidity area and is intended to create reusable infrastructure and implementation patterns that other Canton builders can inspect, adapt and build upon.
As we are an external team, we are currently looking for a Tech & Ops Committee member willing to champion the proposal. We would greatly appreciate any feedback on the proposal, its ecosystem relevance, scope, or technical direction, as well as the opportunity to discuss it with anyone who may be interested in championing it.
