Request for champion: Canton Africa Regional Enablement Framework
Hello everyone,
Canton Africa is preparing a Development Fund proposal for the Canton Regional Enablement Framework Africa Pilot.
The proposed six-month project would build and validate an open-source regional enablement framework to help developers, contributors, researchers, and community operators discover, understand, localize, and use existing Canton resources more effectively.
The Africa pilot would test the framework in one region and publish reusable tools, templates, documentation, and measurement standards that other Canton regions could later adapt. The proposal is designed as a public-good contribution that complements existing Canton tools and official resources rather than replacing them.
The current funding request is 1,260,000 CC, released through four milestone-based payments.
We are looking for a SIG member or Tech & Ops Committee member who may be willing to review the proposal, provide guidance on the governance process, and potentially act as champion for the submission.
We would especially appreciate feedback on:
-
The appropriate roadmap area and proposal label
-
Whether the scope is suitable for the Development Fund
-
The technical delivery approach and architecture
-
Milestones, acceptance criteria, and budget
-
Any changes needed before formal GitHub submission
