Summary

Canton DevKit is a unified, open-source local developer environment tool for the Canton Network that leverages the existing LocalNet stack. It delivers one-command LocalNet lifecycle management, integrated observability dashboards, and CIP-0112 token faucets and tooling — lowering onboarding time for new developers, workshop participants, and hackathon teams. The project is structured across 4 milestones over 12 months and requests 1,900,000 CC in milestone-based funding, with an optional 600,000 CC Maintenance & Compatibility Extension covering 12 months of post-grant support (2,500,000 CC combined if both are approved).
