Proposal: Singularity Venture Hub

OPENPull Request
by RobertWils17-04-2026Incoming

Summary

The Canton Signal Exchange is a focused reference implementation that extends existing Canton tooling (cn-quickstart, Canton Utilities) with three Daml contract modules not currently in the ecosystem: on-chain provenance tracking, composable product lineage, and multi-party revenue distribution. SVH commits to operating the marketplace post-delivery as an active buyer — purchasing signals to power autonomous DeFi AI agents on Canton — ensuring the reference implementation becomes a live venue rather than an archived POC. Total grant request is $100,000 across 3 milestones in 6–8 weeks.

Notes for Reviewers

  • Champion confirmed: Bo Zhang (Canton Foundation) has reviewed the proposal and is championing it. Jatin has been looped in for committee visibility.
  • GTM section added in response to committee feedback: The proposal now includes a dedicated Go-To-Market section (Section 5) addressing the concern that the Signal Exchange could be orphaned post-delivery. SVH commits to: (1) a dedicated BD function for ongoing supply–demand matching on the marketplace, (2) anchor tenant recruitment from day one, (3) SVH itself as a committed buyer purchasing signals to power autonomous DeFi AI agents on Canton, and (4) a 300+ Web3 AI builder distribution channel for developer activation.
  • Daml experience: The meTTa parallel in the Rationale section should be read alongside the explicit commitment to engage Daml-experienced engineering support for contract architecture review and validation. The committee should note this is not a claim of prior Daml production experience — it is a statement of paradigm familiarity plus a named mitigation for the gap.
  • Revised scope vs. earlier draft: This submission is revised down from an earlier $135,000 / 4-milestone version. Overlap with existing Canton infrastructure (cn-quickstart, da-marketplace) has been removed; scope is now focused exclusively on the three novel contract modules.
  • Licensing: All deliverables are open-source under a perpetual, non-exclusive license to Canton, with 12 months of post-delivery bug-fix support committed by SVH.
