Canton Agent Automation Kit
Development Fund Proposal Submission
Proposal file: /proposals/canton-agent-automation-kit.md
---
## Summary
This proposal introduces the Canton Agent Automation Kit, an open-source reference framework for running bounded offchain agents around Canton and Daml applications.
The kit provides Daml automation patterns, a TypeScript runner SDK, reference agents, deployment guides, security checklists, tutorials, and workshops. It is designed for practical application workflows such as scheduled settlement, oracle-driven market resolution, recurring actions, failure recovery, and manual review.
The proposal does not add agent execution to validators, does not introduce arbitrary AI execution inside Canton, and does not require changes to Canton core, Splice, wallets, or validator internals. It will be validated through Autonomous Finance applications including Nous and Upline.
Total request: 1,500,000 CC over approximately 20 weeks.
