Summary

This proposal requests Development Fund support for an open-source integration layer for the Canton Network Credentials standard.

The work covers three connected areas: a reference HTTP client for the Credential Registry API, a reusable conformance corpus for validating correct integration behavior, and Daml engineering contributions submitted upstream alongside the Splice implementation. It also includes an Integrator’s Guide that documents both off-ledger HTTP usage and on-ledger Daml patterns for wallets, explorers, dApps, and infrastructure teams.

The goal is to reduce duplicated implementation effort across the ecosystem, improve consistency between adopters, add engineering capacity to the standard implementation, and provide reusable public-good infrastructure under Apache 2.0.
