Obsidian is proposing a scheme for distribution of packages and their metadata, including a shared repository for keys of publishers and auditors, a repository of metadata about audit statuses and source/binary hash relationships, a website for package discovery and documentation, and a dpm plugin for verification of audit status as well as hermetic reproducible builds via nix.
