Summary

Canton Gift Kit will provide an open source Daml and TypeScript toolkit for single claim gifts, multi claim gift pools, and committed variable reward distributions. Single and multi claim financial workflows are enforced on ledger. Lucky Gift uses a hybrid model only to shuffle and protect the hidden reward order off ledger; funding, commitments, reservations, payout, receipts, expiry, and reclaim remain enforced by Daml.

The total proposal is capped at 950,000 CC and released in stages. The initial public release phase is limited to 350,000 CC. The remaining 600,000 CC becomes eligible only after the initial release is accepted and the formal audit, production hardening, external adoption, and maintenance milestones are completed.

Notes for Reviewers

Requested SIG label: financial-workflows-composability

The proposer is seeking a Champion from the Financial Workflows & Composability SIG. Review from the Wallet Apps and Security SIGs would also be helpful because the proposal combines unknown recipient settlement, QR claim security, and prefunded on ledger gift workflows.

The proposal is intentionally limited to a Canton Coin reference implementation. It does not claim general support for all Canton assets and does not propose a competing wallet connectivity SDK.
