Summary

Freename AG proposes two companion grants implementing the Canton Party Resolution Protocol (CPRP): Party Name Resolution (1,623,377 CC) delivers the multi-resolver resolution service and SDK for human-readable names, endpoint discovery, and party profiles. Party Identity Verification (1,298,701 CC) adds the trust evaluation layer — T1–T4 issuer tiers, DNS/vLEI verification flows, and post-quantum encrypted fields — answering the WG's question: "How do we remove the .unverified prefix?" Total: 2,922,078 CC (~450,000 USD) across 6 milestones, ~35 weeks with parallelism.

Notes for Reviewers

The corresponding CIPs (CIP-XXXX + CIP-YYYY) and a shared companion specification (~3,300 lines) have been submitted to canton-foundation/cips in PR #171.

The two grants are independently valuable (resolution works without verification) but architecturally connected (verification extends the resolver infrastructure). B1 runs in parallel with A2; total program duration is ~35 weeks, not 58.
