Summary

This proposal requests funding to build Ledger Snapshot (dpm ledger-snapshot), an open-source DPM component that brings Hardhat-style named save/restore of local ledger state (parties, DAR packages, and the Active Contract Set) to Canton development on Sandbox and LocalNet, so teams and CI pipelines can reset to a known baseline without re-running the full bootstrap between test suites. Total request: 549,000 CC across four milestones (Milestones 1–3 span 9 weeks; Milestone 4 covers adoption and a 12-month maintenance commitment); a PoC against Sandbox is already working (demo video).
