Development Fund Proposal Submission

Summary

A three-hour business-level learning program on the Canton Network: three sixty-minute modules covering governance and privacy, the institutional business case, and economics and adoption, produced for the Canton Foundation with all rights assigned to it. Canton's technical resources are strong, but there is no business-level pathway into the ecosystem, and the person inside an institution positioned to advance the case has vendor material and episodic press coverage to work with. The program is positioned as the front door of the Canton learning ecosystem, preceding the technical documentation rather than competing with it.

Notes for Reviewers

Non-technical proposal: This proposal delivers learning content rather than code. The Architectural Alignment and Backward Compatibility sections of the template are marked as not applicable for that reason.

Champion: DEC Institute is an Associate Member of the Canton Foundation and is submitting in that capacity.

Label: regulatory-compliance has been selected as the closest available fit from the template list, given the audience of risk, compliance and third-party-risk functions and DEC's MiCA certification background.

Acceptance criteria: The acceptance criteria are stated per milestone and are delivery-based, because the ecosystem-value indicators for a learning asset (institutions putting groups of staff through the program, progression into technical resources, reuse by member firms) mature roughly twelve months after publication rather than within the twelve-week delivery term. Those indicators are stated separately under Acceptance Criteria as the measure of the program's success.

Ownership: All intellectual property rights vest in the Foundation on acceptance of each milestone. DEC retains no ownership interest and no right to reuse, resell, republish or adapt the material, and charges no licence fee.
