Summary

Token Terminal proposes to build a production-grade Canton data layer covering 24+ metrics across financial, usage, technical, validator, and ecosystem categories. Canton processes $3-4 trillion/month in institutional collateral yet remains largely invisible to the institutional analytics ecosystem. This integration closes that gap.

Upon completion, Canton data will be freely accessible via Token Terminal's public explorer, API, and MCP, and distributed downstream to Bloomberg, Messari, Nansen, CoinGecko, Binance, and Flipside. Token Terminal is already an active Canton validator with an established technical relationship with the Digital Asset team. The grant covers the full build plus a 12-month maintenance period. Total funding: $120K in CC.

Notes for Reviewers

Token Terminal is an existing Canton validator with an established technical relationship with the Digital Asset team. Token Terminal's data is used by institutional clients including Bitwise, 21Shares, Franklin Templeton, Standard Chartered, and Morgan Stanley, and distributed downstream to partners including Bloomberg, Messari, Nansen, and Flipside. This integration closes a meaningful data visibility gap for Canton within the institutional analytics ecosystem that Canton's technology is designed to serve.
