Summary
Application teams integrating Canton RWAs repeatedly need to solve asset normalization, transaction state, settlement tracking and portfolio reconciliation.
alphaPilot proposes an open-source Canton RWA Market Access Reference Layer covering asset discovery, asset details, eligibility and supported actions, Canton transaction submission, settlement tracking and portfolio reconciliation.
The first implementation will be demonstrated inside alphaPilot, but the funded work is designed to be reusable by other Canton builders rather than being a private alphaPilot integration.
The project will provide reusable schemas, adapter interfaces, transaction and settlement state models, a reference backend, example Canton integration, reference UI, automated tests, documentation and a second provider or asset integration to demonstrate reuse.

SIG Review
Parth Chaturvedi advised us to identify the most relevant SIG and request feedback from its members so that a Champion can be assigned through the review process.
We believe the proposal is primarily aligned with the Financial Workflows & Composability SIG, with secondary relevance to Token Standards / Asset Standards and dApp Integration.
We would appreciate feedback on the scope, architecture, milestones and Development Fund alignment, and guidance on assigning an appropriate Champion.
