Total Funding Request:
10,000,000 CC maximum, of which 8,000,000 CC is the committed request (≈ $960,000 at the $0.12/CC reference price) and 2,000,000 CC is per-protocol and claimable only against signed third-party Canton applications. All funding is retroactive: nothing is disbursed on approval.

up to 17 months: committed milestones (1a, 1b, 2) delivered by Month 4; per-protocol Milestone 3 tranches claimable for 12 months from first integration, to ~Month 17.

Summary

Canton routes 62% of its rewards pool (around 516 million CC) to application treasuries, but gives those applications no way to measure user activity or pay out against it, so six teams currently redistribute by hand or on bespoke points ledgers and CC earmarked for growth cannot be spent on liquidity, holding, volume or lending. Merkl will make Canton a fully supported chain on its incentive distribution engine. Any Canton application will be able to run measured, rule-based incentive, dividend, yield or cashback programs without building distribution infrastructure, with the chain adapter, Daml utilities, indexer, visibility-grant specification and registrar seed list all open source.
