Summary
Validator onboarding is still a multi-week ceremony, and day-2 work (upgrade, restore, disk reclaim, re-onboarding) is tribal knowledge rather than a reviewable tool. BlockSmith is a deterministic operator CLI that composes official Splice validator_compose artifacts: evidence-based readiness, hash-gated mutations, and an optional read-only ask assistant that never applies a plan. A working DevNet prototype is recorded below; this grant opens the Apache 2.0 repository, finishes scale --plan, and publishes TestNet and MainNet-ready dogfood any operator can replay.
CLI path (default). No model, no API key.

Optional ask path. Same node, same commands, conversation only.
