Summary

Snapix Ltd. proposes developing reusable open-source commerce and payment infrastructure for the Canton ecosystem.

The project will deliver Daml transaction and reconciliation models, provider-neutral merchant integration tools, privacy-preserving digital receipt references, a payment workflow reference application, automated tests, and technical documentation.

These components are intended to support multiple independent Canton developers and applications, creating public-good infrastructure rather than subsidizing Snapix Money's proprietary commercial application.

Proposed Deliverables

  1. Canton Commerce Transaction Model: Reusable Daml-based payment-reference and reconciliation workflows.
  2. Merchant Payment & Reconciliation SDK: Provider-neutral APIs, integrations, and transaction synchronization.
  3. Privacy-Preserving Receipt Architecture: Secure references connecting payment events with off-ledger commerce records.
  4. Canton Payment Reference Application: Open-source demonstration of payment-related workflows using synthetic events.
  5. Testing & Documentation Toolkit: Automated tests, developer guides, implementation examples, and integration documentation.

Funding Allocation: US$100,000 equivalent across five proposed milestones, with milestone breakdown and acceptance criteria defined in the full proposal.
