Having a centralised solution for a global product is challenging in today’s ever changing world. How do you ensure that your data meets the standards set by the multiple jurisdictions in which you operate in? How do you ensure that you are not applying the policies of one jurisdiction to the data of another jurisdiction? What do you do when you have conflicting policies to enforce?

From a user’s perspective, once you post a message on Twitter (or other Social Media platform), you lose all control over that content - you don’t know how your content is monetised, to whom your content is sold to, for what purpose was your data sold, etc.

One potential solution towards decentralisation as pointed out by Jack is Blockchain. But what if we went one step further and introduced Smart Contracts on a Distributed Ledger?

    have a profile showing some basic information again we're not following anybody we have no followers on the posts but we can go to the user directory and quickly change that so as dizzy i want to follow alice so now alice will receive a request from daisy on this right side i will log in as alice and as we can see alice has some posts from various people and we have a request from daisy to approve so i'm going to approve that as alice

    and i will go back to my post and also as alice i want to follow dizzy now when i go back to disney screen we have a request from alice i'm going to approve that request so now when i go to my home page i will see we have a few posts from and checking as alice we can see here that we have this poofy scene earlier so as alice and we can see we have some other users with which daisy doesn't follow so we have charlie and bobby have both applied to this post and alice has also replied to bobby
