In this webinar, we will discuss key issues that have emerged around diagnostic testing data management, privacy, and appropriate response management including supply chain planning and logistics.

We will also demonstrate a practical solution based on smart contracts, blockchain & verifiable credentials to meet the urgent needs coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic:

1. Timely and transparent reporting of diagnostic testing results and patterns

2. An electronic record that citizens can access on demand and which can be verified instantly

3. Planning for appropriate response capacity, future vaccine distribution, and PPE procurement

We will analyze the above needs, discuss a centralized vs smart contracts based solution approach, and show how Verifiable Credentials based on the W3C Standard can drive both citizen ownership and transparency.

Such a solution will likely be operated through a public-private partnership to facilitate collaboration compliance to HIPAA regulations, and maintain confidentiality while promoting collaboration at the business process and aggregated trends level.
