Amazing Demo from Anthony Lusardi at the Hyperledger Global Forum 2020 in #Phoenix couple of weeks ago!

➡️ DAML applications deploy easily across ledgers, but an application on one ledger cannot talk to another. We’re working on fixing that with #code, and #cats, and lots of #engineering.

➡️ #DAML’s biggest strengths is that its runtime is completely separate from the ledger it is running on, this allows for significant portability between ledgers.

➡️Allowing you to take code you’ve written and deploy it on the backend of your choice. This is excellent if you have a single backend that you’re using but when you have identical #DAML code running on two different #ledgers they are not able to communicate which is why we’ve been developing a ledger interop layer that allows for state transitions to occur not just on a single ledger but between multiple ledgers.
